That's The Great Bruno for you. The laziest, meanest boss you could ever have. Never in the last few years has he ever offered me his dog cookies :).He has the easiest job. Sleep, eat, play, then repeat. His favorite toys are my sandals and shoes. And while I work my butt off to make our clients happy, all that he gives me is that trademark look that says - 'alright buddy, you are doing a good job but you ought to keep pushing the envelope. You can do better'. My Gawd!! A man deserves some applause for a job well done!!.

| Well, you see, The Great Bruno is NumberOne because he has the famous 'dog instinct'. So when we are hiring a new driver, NumberOne would sniff him out, weighing him and judging him through his stare. And only if he wags his tail in approval, is the guy allowed to join. If he growls, the guy is out. Period. End of discussions. So far, his recruits have been doing a great job for our clients. And so The Great Bruno remains NumberOne at AroundVaranasi. That is me. I am the human interface of the company. And I report to my boss - Number One. The Great Bruno. What!! a dog running a travel agency? What is this, some kind of freak show? I know this is what you must be thinking :) .Well, you see Number One doesn't like to be ordered around. And I didn’t have it in me to argue with The Great Bruno. I had never won an argument with him in the past and I didn’t expect to win this one either. Poor me! What could I do? Except to agree to be Number Two.

| Speaking about me, I am an avid traveler, more of a wanderer. And I have wandered across the length and breadth of the country. I setup AroundVaranasi, primarily for two reasons. First, I like traveling and Varanasi is my home town. Second, I know what are the small things that can make travel fun. Besides, I am a bit like Number Two myself. I don’t like being ordered around. My dog of course is an exception :) and I love Varanasi. |
